Ryan Watson

Art Professor

Summary

I am currently teaching 3-D Design and Sculpture for Canes State University. I am also a working artist. My passion is sculpture.  I also work in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, and photography.

I use the experiential teaching model to get students actively engaged in creating art right from the start. This allows me to help them build on their strengths and overcome any obstacles they encounter in the creative process.

I also believe strongly in helping students build their portfolios by creating opportunities for them to show their work, engage in art competitions, and to work as an artist.  This sets students on the path to success by allowing them opportunities to build relationships in the community and have real-world experience before they graduate.
