Guidewire Claim Center implementation of a Regulatory Claim Reform Program for CTP Claim for a leading Australian Insurance Carrier.It is based on NSW State Government’s “Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017”. This involved implementing NSW reform changes in Claim Center 8 where CTP SA currently resides.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Configuration of new screens and enhancing the existing screens in Claim Center as per Business requirements.
  • Involved in design and development of complex functionalities including Wage benefit payments, Deductions, Adjustment calculation, PAYG Calculation etc.

Project includes implementation of different Workers Comp weekly benefit calculators.Main calculators are Weekly Benefit Calculator & PIAWE Calculator. The Weekly Benefit calculator determines the weekly entitlements a worker to receive, based on current legislative requirements. The policy sub types: Workers insurance, Uninsured liability, Self-insured, Sporting injuries fall in the new legislation category. The calculated entitlement amount will depend upon inputs received from the screen, like the week for which the benefit is being paid, the worker’s capacity for further work; whether partial incapacity or full incapacity, the impairment percentage, the calculated PIAWE, and also week specific factors like earnings, deductions and hours worked per week. .

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for analyzing the Configuration requirements
  • Actively participated in the calls between various teams for finalizing the implementation plans
  • Configuration of PCF screens, in Claim Centre 9.0, required for implementing the permanent Impairment and Sporting Injury calculators for Workers Comp
